“What is love?” Really, we have no idea what love is. Reinhard J. Steiner and Martina Herzog, two filmmakers, began their quest for love in this documentary. “If love exists, it will lead us” is a lovely statement. The documentary gives us a profound philosophical understanding of what love is. An amazing documentary: two filmmakers take a different approach to filming it, packing their bags and searching for love among people. To find out what love is, they meet a variety of people. They shoot at restaurants, train stations, and other locations while traveling by car and meeting a range of people. The most amazing thing is that they all give different reasons for their love.
Only one question, but so many different answers for love, they journey three countries: Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Yes, it is hard to say goodbye, but it is also hard to define love.
After watching this documentary, we would say it’s an extraordinary documentary. This documentary was passionately and diligently filmed by the two directors. The storyline of the film was absolutely amazing. From the entire IIFF team, a huge hug.
The film was expertly shot technically. This movie’s entire shot division, including the handled and drone shots, was excellent. Each scene has a lovely texture. They made use of high-end equipment, including the camera, boom microphone, editing, and color correction. We are also amazed by how beautifully they portray nature and how love is a part of it. Our team was thrilled to see your project and looks forward to more of your amazing work in the future.
